The Fishing Trucker

This one came in after seasons on the water — salt spray dried into the panels, lint packed into the mesh and a sweatband that had gone stiff. The owner was ready to replace it, mostly because the patch and stitching were still perfect and he didn't want to risk them. We hand-treated the sweatband, lifted the salt and grime out of the fabric, flushed the mesh clean and steamed the crown back to shape. Patch and stitching were never touched.

The White Performance Cap

White hats show everything. This one had set-in dirt along the brim edge and sun-yellowed panels from months of daily wear in Belize heat — the kind of discolouration that hides until you set it beside something clean. No bleach went near it. We worked the panels back to true white in stages, cleaned around the logo and perforations by hand, then reset the brim curve so it sat right again.

It arrived collapsed — the crown folded in on itself, the white mesh grey with dust and the front panel faded flat. This is the most common job we see: nothing broken, just years of wear. A full deep clean brought the colour back up, the mesh was brightened to white again and the crown was steamed and structured so it holds its own shape on a shelf.
